NOOO. Well yes, I guess you do actually.
They have clipped the wings of the Snowbirds! The fleet of airplanes, built in the 1960s, has been putting on aerial shows for ages, and it has come to light that they have faulty seat belts. So now they are grounded until they can be fixed (and even once they get better belts, they may be retired permanently because they are SO old).
Now what will we use for airplanes? National Defence may actually not have any other planes. The Air Force may be reduced to hitching together Canada geese and riding on their backs. Though the geese have already proven they're more than capable of bringing down planes, so this may in fact be an upgrade.
O hey, 99th post. Sveeeeet.

Down here, Halliburton or KBR would upgrade those seatbelts for a cheap $875 million (per plane).
ReplyDeleteUh, maybe this is a good thing. Did you see the music that they play during their shows?
ReplyDeleteNickelback
Creed
Avril Lavigne
and the obligatory Sandstorm (currently putting a glowstick in my mouth just thinking about it and now it's going to be in my head all day awesome thanks Aircom or whatever you are called)
Ugh.
O wow what a godawful playlist. And I don;t think it's such a great idea for them to play "Time to Say Goodbye"... it's kind of a bad omen.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, off topic completely, how did you put the link in the comment? I can't seem to figure it out. And whilst I'm asking questions that make me sound embarrassingly computer illiterate (which I am, but I try to hide it at all costs) might as well also ask how you see how many people visit your blogge, and the search terms they used and so forth.
Merci
Question 1:
ReplyDeletetype [a href="website url here"]the word you want to link[/a] but use the "less than" sign instead of the ['s and the "greater than" sign for the ]'s. if that's not clear, go back into your post history, and click "edit" on this one, and then instead of revising the text click on the html tab and look where you typed "snowbirds" to see the html tags surrounding it. the / always closes the tag. so if i want to type in italics i type italics. then there's all kinds of other codes and tags like the music note code ♪ (& # x 2 6 6 A ;) without the parentheses or spaces (remember the semicolon!) or hearts ♥ (& h e a r t s ;) and all kinds of stuff.
Question 2:
you can get sitemeter to track your website, copy the html code and follow their instructions. actually, i realized this is how you were in san diego - someone was visiting my site directly (i.e. not through a google search) from a ucsd server and i was like "what the hell?" and then you said you had been in california and i was like "oh!" sitemeter has it's limitations, so for kicks i also use google analytics. strangely i was just about to post about a weird search that found me from islamabad, pakistan, which was "hannah montana concert makes parents, kids and even the illinois governor squeal pictures" and gave this search result. somehow i am the 5th return on that... right under something called pet rock.
i'm no expert, this is just stuff i taught myself. hope this was helpful, let me know if you have any more questions.
just testing
ReplyDeleteooooo it worked.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your help!
By the way, that's a weird search. so odd.
